Over the past couple of days, Riverside’s finest athletes have been competing at the annual Borough Athletics Championships. Pupils across year 7, 8 and 9 were selected and represented the school with pride and enthusiasm. All pupils that participated should be very proud of their achievements and how well they conducted themselves on the day. However, a special congratulations must go to the following pupils who medalled:
- Martha (7I) – silver, shot put
- Daniel Obi (7I) – gold 200m and gold long jump
- Andreya (9R) – gold 200m and gold long jump
- Ayeeshat, Renai, Rejoice, Andreya (year 9) – bronze, relay
This success follows on from recent successes at the Essex Athletics Championships where both Andreya and Daniel Obi were also medalists making them some of the finest athletes in the county.
