On Thursday 7th January, 16 of the finest year 7 athletes represented Riverside at the annual Borough Indoor Athletics competition at Barking Abbey. All pupils performed exceptionally well on the evening and came back to school with some very impressive results. This is testament to their dedication to PE and extra-curricular clubs. It would appear that we have some of the best runners in the borough and I look forward to seeing what happens over the next few years. There were many individual winners and this led to an excellent team result. The boys finished in a very credible 4th place and the girls managed to pick up a medal finishing in 3rd place overall. A fantastic result and all of the athletes should be very proud of themselves.
