Our prospected year 11 students attended a ‘Pathways to Oxford and Cambridge Universities’ event on Thursday 13th October at Barking Learning Centre. Previous university students made pupils aware of the decisions and choices they will soon have to face upon their university application process and they gave our pupils an insight into university life. It was made apparent that factors need to be considered now in order to allow our aspiring students to go down the path they wish to.
There were two sessions on offer, astronomy and law. The latter involved debating where all three of the Riverside groups came out victorious over the other groups they came up against. Our students asked very insightful questions and they left with a lot to consider.
